Celebrity S.A.S.Who Dares Wins.

Must admit,I've only watched bits and pieces of this reality,endurance show with a military theme.
Here,celebrities have to brave trials to show if they have what it takes to complete trials,instructed by real life blokes who served in the Armed Forces,and in the elite Special Air Service,and the Special Boat Service.

Obviously,what the celebrities go through,is only a little compared to what the proper recruits go through,but it is still mentally challenging and physically tough.

My favourite is Ant Middleton:An excellent soldier who wrote a book on his experiences when he served in the Special Boat Service.He's really tough,just like Mark Billingham and Jamie Fox,also British special forces and are joint hosts on the show.They're all seriously hard and very tough blokes,but from watching them,I think it's fair to say they all have good hearts.Although in Ant Middleton's case,he did do despicable things,assaulting a female police officer who had to retaliate by spraying him with CS Pepper spray.He was very lucky to only serve four months in prison.To the best of my knowledge,Ant never apologised for his actions.
The female officer is still severely traumitised to this day over it.I suppose Ant did turn it around.His childhood was horrible,but still:That's no excuse to hit anybody,especially a woman.

I've read a few books on the subject,and it's interesting to see certain authors comment that many people can run up and down mountains,proving they have the physical endurance capability,but they still need to have more than that.Actually,the training is sheer hell,but it has to be.The military wants people who have the power to pass all the trials successfully.

Another reason why our military is the best trained in the world.

Managed to get a rare treat with this one,as I found one of my favourite damsel artists offering a free drawing for a lucky few.I was fortunate to be one of those few.

This is from an artist from Poland,whose work I like very much.His gags on the damsels are way to big for my liking,and I was desperately trying to convince him to get the gag smaller,but to no avail.

Still,it is a little different,and I still like it.

Champions League Final 2020.

Well,I'm really looking forward to this final between PSG v Bayern Munich.
I sincerely hope it's a much better game than the,dreadful last final.
The only boring final I've ever watched,especially when it was between two English teams.That match wasn't a good advert for football.Lord knows what everybody else thought.

Anyway,I have a feeling it's going to be much better.

And yes:Two fingered salute to Rio Ferdinand.The ex-man utd,bullying scumbag.

Well,the first-half was definitely cagey,but it had some good moments.Much better than the last final so far..

Well,Bayern won 1-0.Not exactly the most exciting of matches,but it had its moments and it was definitely better than the last final.PSG did well to reach the final tonight,but Bayern were just too strong for them.It also wasn't nice to see some of the players acting so disrespectfully towards the ref during the game.A sad,ever-present tone,all thanks to cheating foreign players,who have destroyed the game's fair play image.

Still,roll on the next Final.

Great Game!

Well,the Europa Cup Final was certainly one of the best matches I've ever watched.
Great goals and great entertainment.
I thought on the whole,Sevilla deserved the victory.Inter played well in parts,but they just didn't quite have it.

Superb stuff.

N.B.It still angers me when certain people in the game,don't really appreciate how brilliant this competition is.When it was known as the UEFA Cup,winning it brought you great prestige.Who won it,were the champions of Europe.Sadly,a lot of the money hungry clubs prefer the Champions League,granting them bigger riches.This lot view the Europa League as an added bonus to get into the Champions League.

Sigh..

Anyway,last night's final showed how great this competition still is.
Looking forward to next year's tournament.

Brilliant first-half.The usual,typical foreign theatrics,but four brilliant goals,especially those two headers.

2-2 so far,and I'm hoping the second-half is just as good as the first.

My only minor gripe,is I wish BT Sport would get rid of the 'man utd' influence,when they have ex-man utd players on giving their so called 'expert analysis' especially when they get the likes of Ince and Ferdinand.Horrible,cheating and arrogant tossers

I really enjoyed watching tonight's match between Seville and Man Utd
The latter team,I utterly despise.Never liked them and when they beat my home footy team:Newcastle United to the title in the 90's with Keegan in charge.To this day,I'm half-convinced when they won about 10 games on the trot:All 1-0,that there was something fishy going on.I also didn't like Fergueson's mind game tactics.

So tonight was a great result
Good riddance, to those bullying and cheating scumbags.I've even had some nasty experiences with their so called 'fans'.They're so arrogant,thinking they've got a God-given right to win everything in their sight.So,they get a fully deserved,two fingered salute from me.

VJ Day.

Still a disgrace this day is largely ignored by the politicians,as they much prefer VE Day.

My late Grandfather fought in the 'Forgotten 14th Army'.He survived the war,but hated it.I was denied to ask him about his experiences.Having read a few books on the war against Japan,I'm glad I didn't ask him.It also wasn't nice that there wasn't a welcome to the troops,like those who managed to survive the war in Europe.Then,it was just an ordinary day.Nobody was really bothered.

The P.O.W's who also managed to survive brutal Japanese treatment from their former guards,were awarded £5000 on their return.A nice sum of money back then.However,many suffered tremendous,mental scarring over this horrible suffering.There was no mental support like there is today.Nobody understood back then.Indeed:so many were wrongly accused of cowardice.An utter disgrace.It still enrages me even today,that some former Japanese soldiers,won't apologise for their despicable crimes.
That makes the final victory over them more satisfactory.

I love you,Grandad.Miss you so much.Rest in Peace.
