I've got mixed feelings about the new Predator film:Prey. The premise does look good with a new start, showing the deadly humanoids arriving on Earth in 17th century in North America, where it targets a Native American tribe and arrogant, unsympathetic colonists.
Obviously, the idea came from the ending of Predator 2,where one of the humanoids gives Danny Glover a flintlock pistol from that era.His 'reward' for bumping off one of their own.
Now of course, there's probably going to be a high kill count in the film,as the Predator character has the advantage of stealth technology and better weapons.Yet,it will be good to see how the Native American lass (Saru) and her people outwit the ruthless humanoid killer, and finally bump it off.
Now,as I said earlier,I have mixed feelings about the story,as I'm not a girl power fan-although I know Native American girls did fight in that time period.
Anyway,I'll see what it's like when it comes out.
