Well, the less said about that loss, the better. No doubt the Newcastle United haters will relish that 4-1 defeat last night.
To this day though and to all eternity,I will always despise that 'so called football club someahere in Lancashire. That lot will start to get dreams of conquering Europe in the Champions League again, whilst they treat the FA Cup with disdain-as they have done in the past.
Best of luck to your next opponents.
Would it be fair to say that more Newcastle supporters are local to the club than United glory hunters who come from far and wide?
ReplyDeleteLet"s just say I'm totally loyal to my home club,as I know many people are.
ReplyDeleteSeeing Newcastle lose a match,is always a bitter disappointment to me.I've been following and supporting them since 1974,so there's been plenty of bad memories from that.
I hope you're not suggesting I'm a glory hunter, because I'm not.Never had any pleasant moments with the fans of that club Newcastle just lost too.I can assure you,a lot of them are very arrogant and intimidating.
In ‘74 I was totally a fan of Supermac!
ReplyDeleteYou and I are the total opposite of glory hunters as we stick with our local teams through thick and thin.
At least we witnessed a bit of glory with the ‘87 FA Cup and the ‘69 Fairs Cup.
By the way, what’s your overall opinion of Alan Shearer’s contribution to NUFC?
Great goal scorer for the club, but I always wondered if he regretted not signing for Man Utd before he came here.I can still remember the shouts aimed at him:" Haway Shearer,50 grand a week??" Today though,I don't like aome of the comments he makes on MOTD.Sometimes,I really hate him and Lineker.
ReplyDeleteWell Lineker has become a totally anti British BBC whore who spouts their propaganda.
ReplyDeleteDidn’t know Alan was still on there.
Must admit I did enjoy the time Big ‘Al laughed in the face of Roy Keane.
He should have punched the aggressive little runt.
Yes,Keane behaved despicably that day,as he did on many other occasions.
ReplyDeleteDon’t know if the story is true, but Keane was so annoying he got punched by Brian Clough in the changing room during his Nottingham Forest days.
ReplyDeleteNot sure myself, but we know Clough didn't tolerate any troublemakers in his team.He fined any of his players that were booked or sent off.Still a big miss to this day.
ReplyDeleteAbsolutely, from the days when managers had a little charisma.
ReplyDeleteIndeed.Who knows what may have been achieved if Clough had got the England job.Sadly, his interview with the FA wasn't successful.A big shame he seemed to lose his touch whwn Forest were relegated.
